GRADUATE RESEARCH POSITIONS

The Vanderbilt University Institute for Space and Defense Electronics has openings for qualified graduate research assistants and post-doctoral research associates to work on projects involving the effects of radiation on micro electronic circuits and devices in space and defense applications.

Our research center is a national leader in the development of new tools and techniques for the design, simulation, characterization, and modeling of total ionizing dose, prompt dose, and single-event effects in CMOS, BiCMOS, and bipolar integrated circuits. ISDE research partners include NASA, the U.S. Navy, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), the Boeing Company, and the U.S. Air Force.

Our graduates are in high demand throughout the microelectronics industry. ISDE graduate research assistantships include a monthly stipend and full tuition at Vanderbilt University (applicants must meet VU admission requirements). ISDE post-doctoral positions offer a competitive salary commensurate with ability and experience.

However, international students are eligible for additional graduate research assistantships available through the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering.
